From our first meeting to first interview, from rolling up your sleeves in a restaurant to participating in training, our franchisees application process is designed to ensure both of us decide whether a CHIPMONGERS franchise is right for you. There are a number of key stages in the process to be aware off.
1. Express your interest
This can be online by completing the Register your interest form below or by contacting the Franchise Team directly.
2. Initial meeting
This is an informal meeting just to get to know each other and to decide if we both would like to progress with the formal application process.
Following our initial meeting with you and if this goes well we will ask you to fill out an application form detailing your previous work and business history, areas of interest, specific location and available funding. Once this is reviewed and we are both interested in working together we move on to the next stage.
4. In Restaurant Evaluation (2 days by way of an introduction to the brand)
This provides you with the opportunity of becoming hands on in one of our sites and to see if this is really for you. It also provides us with an opportunity to see how you take to the business.
5. Meet Franchisees
Take time out to discuss the business with some existing franchisees. This is time well spent and is beneficial to you as part of your preparation.
6. Formal Interview
Following from the previous steps we take the time together to conduct a more formal interview process. Once complete and everything is going smoothly we move on to gather some key information.
6. Financial submission
We will require you to submit your 3-year financials along with your business plan for review and statement of worth, to ensure that you are financially prepared to open a CHIPMONGERS franchise.
6. Final Interview
Once your business plan and finances are approved we will conduct a final interview to ensure all matters have been addressed and you are best placed to open your CHIPMONGERS.
7. Secure the site following approval
Ensure the site requirements have been met where a site has been identified as part of this process. Where approval to join the CHIPMONGERS franchise has been secured however no site has been identified we will work with you to identify and secure a site.
Following the reaching of an agreement between both parties, matters requiring sign off (e.g. financing, signing of lease) are finalised. Once this is completed and copies of all documents are received by Musgrave you will receive the Franchise Agreement. This must be signed by both parties in advance of any site opening.
9. New opening
Your Business Development Manager will assist you all the way through our new store opening process from the very start to opening the store. We help you recruit staff and train them. We will be by your side during the opening process and support you on an ongoing basis with training, product development, purchasing, operations, financial management and local store marketing.
